The ideal candidate would hold a valid driving licence and have the ability to combine the skills of manual work with technical problem solving.
Employed as a junior trainee engineer you would be fast tracked to learn and develop your knowledge so that you would eventually be able to carry out service work alone.
Greencold would send you on day release to college to learn the fundamental principles of refrigeration that would include class room and some practical work training.
The rest of the week our company would provide on-site learning of the following whilst working with one of our senior engineers:
- Commercial and industrial refrigeration machinery – how they operate and how to maintain.
- Experience with installations, breakdowns, preventative maintenance and fault-finding techniques.
From this you would learn to have the ability to:
- Braze copper pipes (component changes and repairs)
- Fault find electrical systems
- Change electrical components
