Environmental and energy efficient solutions
As our name implies, we are passionate about environmentally friendly and energy efficient solutions!
We recognise the increasing importance and need to safeguard our environment and are fully committed to continual improvement of environmental performance and the prevention of pollution.
We comply with the Environmental Protection Act 1990 as well as all relevant environmental legislation and assist our clients in maintaining and selecting efficient and effective equipment.
Throughout design, manufacture, installation and service and maintenance, we aim to monitor and minimise the impact of these activities on the environment. We will actively encourage our suppliers, contractors, subcontractors, and all of our employees to participate in our efforts to reduce the environmental impact of our day-to-day operations.
Our field service engineers are fully trained and certified to reclaim and recharge refrigerant into cooling systems when required. We comply fully with the F-Gas Regulation, and leak test systems in accordance to them.
Pioneering the use of green gases
We are proud to be continually pushing the possibilities and bringing innovation to our industry through our bespoke designs and the promotion of green gases.
We’ll help you on your Pathway to Net Zero
The London-based Environmental Investigation Agency (EIA) has published a new report in 2021 – Pathway to Net-Zero: Cooling Product List, which we are proud to have contributed to.
This report offers a first-of-its-kind look at energy-efficient natural refrigerant-based HVAC&R products from around the world for all applications. It supports the “Climate Action Pathway for Net-Zero Cooling” initiative launched in 2020 by the the United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) High Level Champions. You’ll also find us listed in their cooling product list directory.
Our Environmental Attitude Towards CO2
Greencold are one of the leaders in the proactive marketing of environmentally cooling and heating solutions using ammonia (we are members of the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration) including more recently systems utilising low toxicity and non-flammable refrigerants such as CO2 (R744).
As pioneers in CO2 technology, Greencold are also an active partner, sponsor and contributor to R744.com. This is an internationally recognised online portal that has evolved into the leading global platform for promoting CO2 as a refrigerant. With global coverage and an increasing number of partners and readers, including research institutes, we are actively involved in the development of this collaborative platform.
You can also read more in our Environmental Policy where you can also read the Accelerate Europe article “How to build an efficient coldroom“, to which we contributed.
Coronavirus inhibiting air-conditioning
In response to the recent COVID pandemic, we’re promoting safer working and leisure environments through the installation of air conditioning units which use Panasonic’s coronavirus inhibiting NanoeX technology.
